Philodendron 'Moonlight'

$ 31.99
Size: 6" Pot
DESCRIPTION
True to its moniker, Philodendron 'Moonlight' is an extraordinary houseplant originating from the tropical regions of America. With leaves that shine in shades of lime, lemon, and a pale, moonlit green - further highlighted by the glossy texture that reflects light, creating an almost luminous effect - this striking plant will reach about 20-24 inches in height and width, making it a sizable and captivating addition to any indoor garden. Its growth habit is compact and tidy, which means it won't take over your space but will add a bright pop of color and texture wherever it's placed. In a pot or container, the large, heart-shaped leaves will grow in a bushy, mounded form, but when allowed to climb a moss pole or trellis, they will take on a more vining habit, creating a gorgeous “climber” effect. While it's a moderate to fast grower, this plant also has the unique ability to produce a thick, woody stem over time, which adds an interesting structural element to its overall appearance. Adding to the already spectacular show put on by its foliage, Philodendron 'Moonlight' produces flowers that are typical of the aroid family. Look for a large, white spadix surrounded by a pale green spathe, which is the plant's way of trying to attract pollinators in its native habitat. However, it's the leaves that are the true stars of this plant, changing color from a bright yellow when they first emerge, to a deeper, moonlit green as they mature. The Philodendron 'Moonlight' is a low-maintenance plant, requiring only moderate light and watering when the top inch of soil is dry. It's also resistant to most common houseplant pests, making it a great choice for both novice and experienced gardeners. With its stunning, luminous foliage and easy care requirements, it's easy to see why Philodendron 'Moonlight' is a favorite among houseplant enthusiasts. Add this radiant beauty to your collection, and let its moonlit glow illuminate your indoor garden.
PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
