The long leaves of the Kalanchoe tomentosa ‘Panda Plant’ have a lush, velvety texture, and are characterized by dusty green centers with dots of rich brown around the margins. Despite its unique and even exotic appearance – which comes as no surprise, given its origins in Madagascar – this succulent variety does exceptionally well indoors, and is an excellent choice for beginners. Growing up to 2 feet tall and wide, ‘Panda Plant’ can easily hold its own in your succulent collection, and can even boast fuzzy, bell shaped flowers in the summer months.

Able to tolerate a mixture of bright and indirect light, with even a bit of afternoon shade thrown in, this variety can thrive in nearly any home. Like most succulents, it prefers porous soil and a well-draining pot, along with plenty of airflow to ensure that moisture does not remain on the leaves or stems for long. Watering ‘Panda Plant’ is very simple, as it only requires a thorough watering once the soil has thoroughly dried from the last one. While this hardy variety can endure some neglect, the one thing it absolutely cannot tolerate is frost – so be sure to bring it indoors during the cooler winter months.

While the furry-looking ‘Panda Plant’ can be very appealing to young children, it is important to keep it well out of their reach, as its leaves are mildly toxic if ingested.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
