Conophytum bilobum

Conophytum bilobum is a captivating and distinctive member of the Aizoaceae family, renowned for its unique, compact shape and fascinating growth habits. This small succulent, native to South Africa, is a part of the diverse Conophytum genus, which is widely appreciated for its intriguing varieties, often called "living stones" due to their pebble-like appearance.

Conophytum bilobum features paired leaves that are almost entirely fused, forming a bilobed (two-lobed) body. The leaves are smooth, fleshy, and can vary in color from green to bluish-green, often with a hint of purple or reddish tinge under certain light conditions or during stress. This color variation, along with their glossy, almost translucent surface, makes them particularly attractive. The plant's compact size and pebble-like appearance allow it to blend seamlessly into its natural rocky habitat, making it a fascinating example of botanical mimicry.

Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
