Chick Charms® Trio - Mint & Marmalade™

Chick Charms® Trio – Mint & Marmalade™ combines three eye-catching Sempervivum varieties in one 3.5" pot: Gold Rush, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Mint Marvel. This vibrant trio blends cool minty greens with warm golden and burgundy tones, creating a colorful display that can deepen and shift with the seasons. The tidy rosettes stay compact and may gradually spread by producing offsets, making this trio a great choice for rock gardens, containers, and sunny borders.

Hens & Chicks thrive with plenty of outdoor sunlight, which helps them develop their best color and maintain their tight rosette shape. Plant them in gritty, well-draining soil and containers with drainage holes. As they grow, they produce small offsets, or “chicks,” on stolons that can be left to form fuller clusters or gently removed to share and transplant.

Sempervivum grows most actively in spring and summer and appreciates regular watering during the growing season. In hotter climates, a little afternoon shade can help protect them when temperatures climb above 80°F. These hardy plants are extremely cold-tolerant and can easily overwinter outdoors, often thriving beneath a protective blanket of snow. Be sure to protect them from heavy rain or standing water, which can lead to rot.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
