DESCRIPTION

Introducing the Mangave 'Bad Hair Day', a quirky and captivating hybrid succulent that truly lives up to its playful name. This unique plant is the offspring of the agave and manfreda, boasting a fascinating blend of characteristics from both parents. With its long, narrow leaves that twist and curl in every direction, 'Bad Hair Day' presents an appearance as unruly and charming as a mop of hair that refuses to be tamed. The leaves are a striking blue-green hue, peppered with spots of burgundy, which become more pronounced under stress or with ample sunlight.

Reaching a modest size of about 10 inches in height and spreading up to 12 inches in width, Mangave 'Bad Hair Day' makes for a perfect conversation starter in any succulent collection, rock garden, or as a standout container plant. Its distinctive texture and form add an element of whimsy and surprise to any setting. Though 'Bad Hair Day' grows relatively fast for a succulent, it maintains a compact size that is manageable and versatile for various garden designs or indoor displays.

While this plant may not bloom as prolifically as its agave or manfreda ancestors, the occasional emergence of a tall flower spike, adorned with intriguing flowers, adds an extra layer of excitement to its already dynamic presentation. Ideal for those looking to inject a dose of fun and eccentricity into their plant collection, Mangave 'Bad Hair Day' is a testament to the endless variety and intrigue the succulent world has to offer.

PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
