Echeveria 'Dusty Rose' is a fast-growing succulent that forms rosettes of wide, powdery violet leaves. The powder on the leaves is called ‘farina,’ and affords the plant an iridescent glow and allows it to safely tolerate full sun conditions. The beautiful color of these succulents only gets better the more bright sunlight they receive, and they can begin to feature shades of rose and magenta when appropriately ‘sun stressed’!

'Dusty Rose' likes bright light, and will begin to etiolate, or stretch, in conditions that are too dim. Depending on the intensity of the sun in your region, however, you may need to protect this variety from the harsh afternoon light to avoid sun burning the leaves. Porous soil with great drainage, and thorough watering only when the soil is dry, will protect the plant from rot, and care should be taken not to let water become trapped between the leaves. Furthermore, be sure to provide your plant with excellent airflow around the leaves and soil surface, and protect from freezing temperatures in the winter, as this beauty is only cold hardy to Zone 9.

Mature plants will reach 3-5 inches tall and up to 8 inches wide, and will send up tall bloom stalks topped with coral, bell shaped flowers.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
