Sedum 'Orange'
- Hand-Selected
- In stock, ready to ship
- Inventory on the way
More than living up to its name, Sedum ‘Orange’ features elongated, upturned leaves in an array of golden, orange, and fiery red hues scarcely seen with such bold clarity anywhere else in the succulent world! Plenty of direct sunlight will yield the richest namesake coloration on this 6 to 8 inch tall specimen, with dimmer conditions necessitating a reversion towards a light green color palette.
Well-adapted to high levels of heat and drought, ‘Orange’ thrives better on a degree of neglect than over-coddling. Bearing this in mind, be sure to water this specimen thoroughly yet quite infrequently, allowing the soil to dry completely through before providing another drink. A porous, gritty soil mixture within a well-draining pot will further shield against issues such as rot or pests, including the small, furry mealy bugs to which ‘Orange’ can be especially prone.
Hardy only to Zone 10, ‘Orange’ must be shielded from frosty temperatures, to avoid scarring on it leaves and stems. In exchange for this care and keeping, expect to see clusters of white, star-shaped blossoms rise above the plant during the spring and summer months.
If you're not completely happy with your Leaf & Clay purchase, we'll do everything we can to make things right!
All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.
Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
