Graptoveria 'Fred Ives' is an exceptional hybrid that is known to produce loose rosettes reaching up to 12 inches in diameter, replete with elongated leaves that are host to a whole spectrum of color – copper, pink, purple, blue, and green are all likely to make an appearance, depending on ‘Fred Ives’ maturity and exposure to sunlight.  Producing offsets readily, this showstopper can make a real statement within the temperate landscape, or serve as a focal point within container arrangements in climates prone to frosty winters.

A vigorous and hardy grower, ‘Fred Ives’ is a great variety for even the most novice succulent collector, requiring only a few key elements for healthy growth.  Bright light is first on this list, both to encourage ample offsets and to promote the greatest spectrum of color across the thick leaves. Next in importance is water, which should be provided on an infrequent but thorough basis, giving the soil an opportunity to dry through in between. And last but not least are the soil conditions, which should be designed to avoid the accumulation of excess moisture  -- namely through the use of a porous soil mix and a well-draining pot.

During the winter months, be sure to protect ‘Fred Ives’ from frosty temperatures, and in the springtime the warmer days will give way to stalks of yellow blooms, which are occasionally accented with red!

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
