DESCRIPTION
Adding an intriguing twist to your indoor garden, the Hoya 'String Bean' is a fascinating houseplant native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. Living up to its playful name, this plant features long, slender leaves that bear an uncanny resemblance to the vibrant green pods of string beans. Dangling elegantly from the stems of the plant, these leaves give the Hoya 'String Bean' a distinctive, cascading appearance that is bound to draw attention and ignite conversation. Growing to a length of about 6 feet, this beauty has the potential to make a significant visual impact in any space. When placed in a hanging basket or mounted on a trellis, the Hoya 'String Bean' will flourish, allowing its long tendrils to trail downwards in a captivating waterfall of foliage. In a pot, it will begin to spill over the edges, creating a lush, green curtain effect. Despite its exotic origins, the Hoya 'String Bean' is a relatively slow grower, making it an ideal choice for those who prefer low-maintenance plants. With patience and proper care, it may even develop aerial roots, which add an additional layer of intrigue to this already unique plant. Adding to the mesmerizing display put on by its foliage, the Hoya 'String Bean' produces small, star-shaped flowers during the summer months. These blossoms, though not as large or vibrant as those of some other Hoya species, are a lovely creamy-white color with a delicate, sweet fragrance. They open during the day and close their petals at night, providing a charming spectacle for those lucky enough to witness it. The Hoya 'String Bean' is a truly distinctive houseplant that offers both visual interest and an easy-care nature. Its intriguing, bean-like leaves and delicate flowers make it a delightful addition to any indoor garden. With its cascading growth habit and unique appearance, it is sure to turn heads and become a conversation starter in any home or office.
PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
