Slightly flattened, oval leaves spiral tightly up the draping stems of Sedum dasyphyllum ‘Himalayan Skies,’ which earned its name by virtue of its hazy blue coloration. With each stem reaching up to 6 inches in length at maturity, and with a mat-forming growth habit, this specimen looks great in container plantings or along the front edge of rock gardens. Hardy down to Zone 7, S. dasyphyllum ‘Himalayan Skies’ make a sturdy addition to any collection, contributing year-round color and texture indoors or out.

Bright light is key to retaining the look of S. dasyphyllum ‘Himalayan Skies,’ by preventing the stems from etiolating, or stretching, instead of being covered in tightly packed blue leaves. Beyond this, however, the care of this variety is simple – excellent drainage, in the form of a porous soil mixture and a pot with adequate holes in the bottom, will make a positive impact, while ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface will take it the rest of the way.

When contented, it will send up clusters of petite white blooms during the spring and summer months, which perfectly offset its evenly blue foliage.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
