Hoya Australis 'Honey Plant'

Size: 6" Pot
DESCRIPTION
True to its name, the Hoya Australis 'Honey Plant' is a delightful houseplant native to Australia. Its leaves are a brilliant display of glossy, emerald green, accented by delicate tendrils that trail from the stems of the plant. This gorgeous specimen will grow to about 4 feet in length, though the prolific growth of its vines can extend its reach even further. In a hanging basket or large pot, the vines will drape gracefully, creating a stunning waterfall of verdant foliage. However, if provided with a support, it will happily climb, adding a vertical element to your indoor garden. The Hoya Australis 'Honey Plant' is a relatively fast grower, but its most remarkable feature is perhaps its stunning floral display. During the warmer months, look for clusters of star-shaped flowers that boast a rich, honey-yellow color – further adding to the plant’s charm. The blooms are waxy in appearance, adding an interesting textural contrast to the glossy leaves, and they release a subtle, sweet fragrance, particularly during the evening. Despite its exotic looks, the Hoya Australis 'Honey Plant' is quite easy to care for. It enjoys bright, indirect light and a well-draining soil mix, but it is also quite drought-tolerant, making it a great choice for those who tend to forget to water their plants from time to time. This plant is also a wonderful choice for those looking to purify their indoor air, as it is known for its ability to filter out certain toxins. Whether you’re a seasoned indoor gardener or a complete beginner, the Hoya Australis 'Honey Plant' is sure to add a touch of beauty and charm to your home. Its stunning foliage, delightful flowers, and easy care requirements make it a must-have for any houseplant collection. Watch as it brings a burst of nature into your living space, and enjoy the sweet, honeyed scent of its blooms during the warm summer months. This truly is a plant that keeps on giving.
PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
