Crassula corymbulosa 'Shark's Tooth'

With narrow, pointed leaves stacked up each narrow stem, it is no surprise how Crassula corymbulosa 'Shark's Tooth' earned its name! The tower-like growth habit of each stem culminates in a uniquely symmetrical rosette, making this variety a stunner from any angle. The bright green leaves are known to flush a reddish hue when sun stressed, and each stem can reach up to 8 inches tall at maturity, making ‘Shark’s Teeth’ an exceptional standalone specimen, or a ground-covering addition to succulent arrangements or temperature rock gardens.

Adapted to the arid conditions of South Africa and Namibia, this variety thrives on neglect – indeed, overwatering is far more likely to harm this succulent than under watering! Be sure to utilize an extremely porous soil mix, such as a cactus medium supplemented with pumice or perlite, and a pot with ample drainage. Water thoroughly but infrequently, in accordance with the ‘soak and dry’ method. Ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface with safeguard against rot and pests, and bright light will ensure the best possible growth.

During the winter months, shield this frost-tender succulent from freezing temperatures – and as the weather warms in the spring, expect to see white blooms emerge from the tips of each stem.
