Crassula 'Campfire' is a heavily branching succulent that more than lives up to its name – the elongated, fleshy leaves range in color from a light green to a fiery red, giving the appearance of flames! With a mat-forming growth pattern, ‘Campfire’ can readily fill a pot or a corner of the rock garden with its intense coloration, reaching up to 6 inches tall and 3 feet wide.

Easy to care for, as are many Crassula, ‘Campfire’ requires bright light to maintain its intense hues – in dimmer environments, it will revert to a more green tone. Overwatering is to be avoided, as it predisposes the plant to rot, so be sure to follow a consistent but infrequent watering routine, such as the ‘soak and dry’ method. Ample airflow is also a must for this variety, which can be prone to mealy bugs in damp conditions.

During the summer months, a contented ‘Campfire’ will send up clusters of white flowers, providing a stark contrast to its richly hued leaves. During the winter months, conversely, take care to protect this variety from frost, as it is not cold hardy below Zone 9.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
