The densely clumping rosettes of Cremnosedum 'Little Gem' feature uniquely colored leaves swirling around bright red stems, including shades of deep green to rich bronze that can even stress to red in full sun conditions! With a mat-forming growth habit, this variety makes an exceptional ground cover in succulent arrangements or rock gardens, where its yellow bloom clusters will introduce even more color during the spring months!

Prone to etiolating, or stretching, without adequate light levels, it is critical to place ‘Little Gem’ in a fully sunny area of your home or garden, such as a south-facing windowsill. Like most Sedum hybrids, it is an exceptionally easy grower, and asks only to be spared from damp and dim conditions! As such, take care to utilize a very porous soil mixture within a well-draining pot, and water in accordance with the ‘soak and dry’ method – giving a thorough drink only when the soil has had the chance to thoroughly dry through.

Furthermore, during the winter months take care to protect this tender succulent from freezing temperatures, as it is not frost hardy.

If you're not completely happy with your Leaf & Clay purchase, we'll do everything we can to make things right!

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
