DESCRIPTION
A stunning addition to any home or garden, the Pachira aquatica 'Guiana Chestnut' Braid is a tropical gem native to Central and South America. Its foliage showcases an array of lush, deep green leaves that cluster together to form a visually captivating braid-like pattern, hence its unique name. When fully mature, this plant can reach a height of 6 feet indoors and an impressive 60 feet outdoors, making it a truly versatile piece of natural décor. This plant, also known as the "Money Tree," is characterized by its trunk's unique braided appearance, which isn't just aesthetically pleasing but also signifies good fortune and prosperity. The trunk acts as a reservoir, storing water for drier periods, and thus adding to its hardy and resilient nature. The 'Guiana Chestnut' Braid is an excellent choice for both indoor and outdoor planting. When placed in a pot indoors, it creates a remarkable focal point with its intricate braiding and lush green leaves. Outdoors, it becomes a grand, tropical spectacle that will undoubtedly make a statement in any garden or yard. Although the Pachira aquatica 'Guiana Chestnut' Braid is a slow grower, it is well worth the wait. Its glossy, lance-shaped leaves add a touch of the exotic to any space, and its low-maintenance nature makes it an ideal choice for both experienced gardeners and novices alike. It thrives in indirect sunlight and prefers a balance of dry and moist soil conditions. In the spring and summer months, the 'Guiana Chestnut' Braid puts on a spectacular show with its yellow and maroon flowers. The blossoms bloom in the night and close by morning, adding a touch of mystery and intrigue to its already impressive display. The Pachira aquatica 'Guiana Chestnut' Braid is more than just a plant. It's a symbol of luck, a conversation starter, and a breathtaking piece of natural art. Whether you're looking to improve your indoor air quality, add a touch of the tropics to your outdoor space, or gift a loved one with a symbol of good fortune, this plant is an excellent choice.
PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
