Crassula rupestris 'Rosary Vine' Variegata

A South African native, this variegated cultivar provides a spin on the standard 'Rosary Vine' succulent with gently undulating hues of cream, yellow, and bright green making up the color palette of each petite leaf. A heavily branching variety with triangular leaves stacked up each stem, forming a nearly symmetrical rosette at the tips, this plant can reach up to 12 inches tall and 3 feet wide – making for a great addition to temperate rock gardens, as a ‘spiller’ in succulent arrangements, or as a stand-alone specimen!

Like all Crassula, this variety is fairly easy to grow, as long as you meet a few key requirements. Porous soil, very bright light to account for the reduced chlorophyll levels, and good air circulation are all must-haves. Overwatering is the most likely cause of failure with ‘Rosary Vine’ Variegata, and it can be prone to pests such as mealy bugs – an infrequent but thorough watering routine, such as the ‘soak and dry’ method, should help shield against both. Hardy only to Zone 9, be sure to protect the leaves from exposure to frost during the winter months.

The reward for this care routine is clusters of deep to pale-pink blooms, which will emerge from the tips of the branches each year.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of Plant Club Subscription Boxes. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY.
Plant Size & Appearance
Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
