Size: 3" Pot
DESCRIPTION
True to its name, Zamioculcas Zamiifolia 'ZZ' is an exotic beauty native to East Africa. Sporting glossy, dark green leaves that have a stunning feather-like shape, this magnificent plant is a statement piece for any indoor space. This houseplant grows up to 2-3 feet in height and about 2-3 feet in width, making it a striking addition to your indoor garden. The 'ZZ' plant is known for its thick, sturdy stems that bear a striking resemblance to the Zamia genus, hence its name. The stems, which grow in a zigzag pattern, are an intriguing sight, creating an interesting texture and depth to the plant. In a large pot or container, the 'ZZ' plant will begin to spread its glossy foliage in all directions, creating a lush, verdant scene. In a terrarium or small pot, it will maintain a compact form, perfect for small spaces or desktops. This plant is a slow grower, but given the right conditions, it will steadily develop a thick, potato-like rhizome, or tuber, at the base. This rhizome acts as a water reservoir, making the 'ZZ' plant incredibly drought-tolerant and an ideal choice for those who often forget to water their plants. Adding to its visual appeal, the 'ZZ' plant occasionally produces small, spathe-type flowers. These flowers are usually hidden among the foliage and resemble the blooms of a peace lily, providing a delightful surprise when they appear. Zamioculcas Zamiifolia 'ZZ' is not just a feast for the eyes but is also an easy-care plant, renowned for its ability to survive in low light conditions and requiring minimal watering. This makes it a popular choice for both novice and seasoned plant enthusiasts. Whether placed in a stylish pot as a standalone piece or grouped with other indoor plants, the 'ZZ' plant is a showstopper, offering a touch of tropical elegance to any interior setting. It is a testament to nature's artistry, with its combination of architectural form, lush foliage, and unexpected blooms. Embrace the exotic with the Zamioculcas Zamiifolia 'ZZ'.
PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
