DESCRIPTION
True to its celestial namesake, the Sansevieria Trifasciata 'Starlight' is a breathtaking houseplant native to West Africa. With leaves that present an enchanting palette of silver, green, and white stripes – further emphasized by a glossy surface that seems to shimmer under light – this celestial wonder will grow to approximately 2-3 feet in height and width, though its stoloniferous nature allows it to spread further, adding an ethereal touch to your indoor greenery. In a terrarium or rock garden, the plant's leaves will rise like ethereal skyscrapers, creating a dense forest of foliage. But when planted in a pot, they will grow upwards, forming a majestic “throne” effect. Despite its imposing stature, it's a slow grower – a testament to its endurance and tenacity. Over time, it may develop a rhizome, a unique structure resembling a creeping rootstock that serves as both a food storage organ and a means of propagation. Adding to the already mesmerizing display put on by its foliage, look out for its delicate, fragrant flowers. The Sansevieria Trifasciata 'Starlight' blooms sporadically throughout the year, producing a cluster of greenish-white, tubular flowers on a simple spike. These flowers open during the night and release a sweet, enchanting fragrance, earning the plant its other name – the 'Snake Plant' – due to the serpentine shape of its leaves and the snake-like scales on its floral spike. Adaptable and hardy, the 'Starlight' is an excellent choice for beginner gardeners. It thrives in a range of lighting conditions, from low light to bright indirect light, and requires minimal watering. Its ability to purify air by removing toxins, as stated by NASA's Clean Air Study, adds another star to its long list of qualities. Sansevieria Trifasciata 'Starlight' is not just a houseplant; it's a statement piece, a conversation starter, a symbol of resilience and adaptability. Its dramatic, starlit foliage and intoxicating nighttime fragrance make it a stellar addition to any indoor garden or living space. With the 'Starlight', you're not just growing a plant; you're cultivating a piece of the cosmos.
PLANT SIZING & APPEARANCE

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
