Numerous layers of cupped, gently pointed leaves form the highly structural rosettes of Pachyveria scheideckeri, which boast a range of hues from orangey coral to soft pink to hazy blue. A rather variable hybrid, the rosettes can range from up to 6 inches wide to quite petite, some remaining close to the surface of the soil with others reaching skyward on stems up to several inches long. Taken as a whole, the resulting mass of color and texture can fill a sunny corner in your home, or serve as a ground-covering element in a temperate rock garden.

Bright light will ensure the very best coloration and growth from Pachyveria scheideckeri, making a western or southern exposure ideal for this sun-loving plant. The biggest threat to the success of this variety is overwatering, which can be avoided by employing a thorough yet infrequent watering routine, allowing the soil to dry completely through in between drinks. A porous soil mixture within a well-draining pot will provide additional insurance against dampness, as will ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface.

Hardy only to Zone 10, be sure to shield Pachyveria scheideckeri from frost – and the warmer days of spring will reveal dainty yellow blooms rising above the rosettes.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
