Incredibly thick, upward facing leaves characterize the unique Pachyveria ‘Powder Puff’ succulent, which forms loose rosettes in delicate hues of violet, blue, and rosy pink. A very thick coating of powdery farina earns this specimen its name, and can lend the plant an almost white cast – uncommon enough to make this variety a must-have addition to any succulent collection. As the stems reach their full 6 inch height, ‘Powder Puff’ will begin to gently drape over the sides of its container, making this variety perfect for not only hanging basket arrangements, but also along ledges in the temperate rock garden!

Bright light is key to ‘Powder Puff’s success, as is a warm environment that scarcely, if ever, dips below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. A generally hardy specimen, this variety can be susceptible to mealy bugs, especially when it is subjected to ongoing damp conditions. To avoid this, as well as to avoid issues with rot, be sure to provide ‘Powder Puff’ with a porous soil mixture, a well-draining pot, ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface, and a thorough yet infrequent watering routine.

With the proper care, ‘Powder Puff’ will reach up to 6 inches tall and wide – and during the summer months, will sport blooms in hues of orangey pink.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
