Echeveria 'Parva' features especially thick, tapered leaves that form sea green rosettes with an uplifted growth habit, the effect of which is an Echeveria that rather resembles an artichoke! The chubby leaves have bright pink margins and keels down the underside of each leaf, adding the perfect blush of color to ‘Parva’ – and to any succulent collection in which it is featured. With each rosette reaching only 3 inches in width, this variety makes an exceptional addition to the front rim of succulent planters, or as a bright, low growing accent plant in temperate rock gardens above Zone 10.
‘Parva’ requires plenty of bright light in order to display its best coloration and to retain its compact growth form. Ample airflow, porous soil with adequate drainage, and a thorough but infrequent watering routine will take you the rest of the way towards success with this variety. To avoid issues with rot, take care not to water before the soil has completely dried through, and do not pour water directly into the rosettes, where it can become trapped.
During the winter months, take care to protect ‘Parva’s thick leaves from frost, which could otherwise result in permanent scarring.
If you're not completely happy with your Leaf & Clay purchase, we'll do everything we can to make things right!
All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.
Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
