Echeveria gibbiflora 'Decora' forms loose rosettes of broad, rounded leaves with a slight sheen that accentuates a spectrum of violet, blue, green, and pink tones. As ‘Decora’ matures, the rosettes will begin to shift towards a more stalk-like growth form, making this plant an exceptional filler component within arrangements, where its array of color will especially complement succulents with rich green, deep red, and warm purple base colors.
Bright sunlight is key to helping ‘Decora’ realize its full potential, so be sure to place this variety in a sunny, southern or western-facing exposure. Beyond this need, it is crucial to note that overwatering is the biggest threat to this unique plant – though utilizing a porous soil mixture, a well-draining pot, and ensuring ample airflow will help to mitigate this risk. Embracing a thorough but infrequent watering routine, such as the ‘soak and dry’ method, will further cement your success with ‘Decora.’
During the cold winter months, take steps to protect this variety from freezing temperatures, which will cause permanent damage to the leaves – and in the summer, warmer temperatures will pave the way for sprays of bright pink blooms rising above the foliage!
If you're not completely happy with your Leaf & Clay purchase, we'll do everything we can to make things right!
All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.
Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
