This stunner forms dense rosettes of thick leaves with an upright growth habit – and while the undertones of this variety are shades of soft blue and green, a very thick coating of powdery farina lends the aptly named Echeveria albicans ‘Whitening Echeveria’ its signature look. In especially bright light, the tips and margins of the leaves will blush a rosy pink – though take care not to mar the powdery coating with your fingerprints, detracting from the beauty of this exceptional plant!

Like many richly hued succulents, ‘Whitening Echeveria’ requires plenty of bright light to reach its full potential. Further, be sure to provide a porous, well-draining soil environment for the roots of this variety, to shield against issues such as rot, and water thoroughly but infrequently to prevent ‘wet feet.’ Ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface will round out the ultimate care routine, providing the best chance of a thriving plant!

During the winter months, take care to avoid exposing ‘Whitening Echeveria’ to freezing temperatures, which could permanently damage the leaves – and soon thereafter, the warm spring temperatures will make way for yellow blooms, rising above the rosettes on tall stalks.

If you're not completely happy with your Leaf & Clay purchase, we'll do everything we can to make things right!

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
