Rounded, deep green stems swirled with starbursts of creamy beige and rusty red spines characterize Rebutia narvaecensis. While these traits are charming all on their own, what really sets this variety apart is the summertime display of creamy pink blooms with yellow centers, which ring the stem atop deep magenta bloom stalks that emerge from the plant’s base.

Named for the region of Boliva from which it originates, Rebutia narvaecensis prefers bright yet indirect light, making it especially well suited for growing within our inherently dimmer homes! What it cannot tolerate, however, is excess moisture, making it imperative to abide by a thorough yet infrequent watering routine, such as the ‘soak and dry’ method. Beyond this, a porous soil mix within a well-draining pot will round out the care requirements for the ever intriguing, sometimes show-stopping Rebutia narvaecensis, which will reach a maximum size of only a couple of inches tall and wide before sending out offsets to form a small clump of textural stems.

Hardy only to Zone 10, be sure to shield Rebutia narvaecensis from freezing temperatures during the winter months – ideally keeping the plant in a location that never dips below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
