The thick, fleshy leaves of Echeveria moranii fan out from the center of the plant in near-perfect rosettes that almost appear unreal. The olive green leaves feature rich maroon ‘trim’ along the margins, and sport a uniquely matte texture. With ample bright light, the coloration deepens, as the underside of each leaf also takes on a speckled maroon tinge. With coloring this dramatic, it is no secret why this variety makes such an exceptional addition to container arrangements and temperate landscape plantings.

Though it is a relatively slow grower, Echeveria moranii still requires bright light in order to attain its richest coloration and maintain its compact rosette form. Furthermore, the greatest threat to this variety is overwatering – a fate that can be shielded against by utilizing a porous soil mixture with adequate drainage, and watering thoroughly only once the soil has become completely dry. Take care not to pour water directly into the rosettes, where it can accumulate and cause rot.

In climates below Zone 10, be sure to protect Echeveria moranii from frosty temperatures. During the spring and summer months, pink blooms with yellow interiors will emerge on especially tall bloom stalks that often bend under the weight of their own flowers.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
