The numerous stems of Cotyledon pendens 'Cliff Cotyledon' will quickly form a ‘curtain’ of draping foliage, reaching up to 2 feet in length. The pointed, oval leaves range in color from lime green to dusty blue, courtesy of a coating of powdery farina on the newest leaf sets. The margins of the leaves will flush a rich magenta hue in bright light, adding another layer of contrast to this exceptional plant – which would look right at home spilling over the rocks of a xeriscaped garden, or in a hanging basket positioned by a sunny window.

Poor lighting and damp soil pose the biggest threats to ‘Cliff Cotyledon,’ so take care to provide plenty of bright light, porous soil within a well-draining pot, and deep but infrequent watering. Voracious growers, these plants can handle an occasional pruning to help maintain their size and shape, especially once they have begun to drape beyond the sides of their pot.

Hardy only to Zone 10, ‘Cliff Cotyledon’ must be protected from freezing temperatures. With proper care, you can expect to see annual inflorescences of bell-shaped, red flowers of up to 2 inches in length.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
