A profusion of long, thin leaves form the rosettes of Echeveria ‘Spruce Oliver,’ which sports a range of bright green hues, topped with vibrant red margins and undersides. The rosettes themselves are compact, reaching only 3 inches in diameter, but each plant will begin to grow upward from a central stem than can reach up to 8 inches in height – though ‘Spruce Oliver’ responds well to pruning, so the stems can be clipped and repotted if a more compact look is desired.

Bright sunlight is crucial to the rich red flushing on each leaf, as dimmer conditions will cause the plant to revert to an entirely green coloration. Beyond this, dry conditions are the key to success with ‘Spruce Oliver,’ a goal that can be accomplished by providing a porous soil mixture, a well-draining pot, and a thorough but infrequent watering routine. Ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface will further ward off rot, which could otherwise result from moisture trapped within the rosettes.

During the winter months, be sure to shield ‘Spruce Oliver’ from frosty temperatures, which could cause permanent damage to the plant. During the warmer months, expect to see stalks of bright orange blooms emerge from within the rosettes, adding yet another layer of color to this already vibrant variety!

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
