Crassula pellucida f. variegata 'Calico Kitten' is a dainty succulent with adorable heart-shaped leaves in variegated shades of rose, hot pink, cream, and green. This trailing succulent looks equally at home spilling over rocks, paired with other succulents in containers, or as a ground cover. It responds well to pruning, and can be maintained as a more mat-like succulent should you prefer a more compact look – when left to its own devices, it will grow about 3 inches tall, with draping stems up to 12 inches long.

'Calico Kitten' needs at least filtered sunlight, though brighter light will deepen the pink coloration of its leaves. Thoroughly water this plant only when the soil is completely dry, and pot in porous soil with adequate drainage. Ample airflow will help to avoid pests, such as mealy bugs, which may otherwise seek a home beneath the plant’s many leaves. Be sure to protect this delicate beauty from frost, as ‘Calico Kitten’ is hardy only to a Zone 9.

When provided with the right growing conditions, this succulent will bloom in the spring, showing off small white flower clusters.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
