Pachyphytum longifolium

Size

Rosettes of very fleshy, elongated leaves characterize Pachyphytum longifolium, whose undertones of blue and green – with tips flushing to pink or even orange in bright sunlight – create a calming aesthetic sure to contribute to any potted arrangement or standalone collection! A thick layer of powdery farina softens the bright coloration of this variety, casting a silvery aura over the entire plant.

Given the bright light it prefers, Pachyphytum longifoliumwill reach a mature size of about 7 inches tall and wide, with a slightly draping affect as the stems reach their full length. Adequate lighting will also ensure the best coloration in this variety, allowing the leaf tips to achieve their richest pink or orange flush. Like most thick-leaved succulents, this specimen does not like excess moisture around its roots, so be sure to utilize a porous soil mixture within a well-draining pot, ensure ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface, and follow a thorough yet infrequent watering routine.

Not tolerant of freezing temperatures, be sure to bring Pachyphytum longifoliumindoors during the winter months in any climates below Zone 10.

    Plant Size & Appearance
