With nearly perfectly formed rosettes of bright green leaves, what really sets Echeveria setosa ciliata ‘Woolly Rose’ apart is a layer of white cilia that is especially dense along the margins of each leaf, lending the plant a furry look. When exposed to bright light, this petite variety will be further accentuated by red blushing along these same fuzzy margins, making for an exceptional textural contrast within any succulent arrangement.

Native to the arid landscapes of Mexico, ‘Woolly Rose’ thrives in bright and dry conditions. As such, be sure to provide plenty of sunlight, like from a south or west-facing windowsill, and water thoroughly but infrequently to replicate the drought conditions of this variety’s natural climate. Porous soil within a well-draining pot, coupled with ample airflow around the leaves and soil surface, will help further mimic this environment, setting you well on your way to success with this unique and furry succulent!

Due to its thick and fleshy leaves, ‘Woolly Rose’ is not frost hardy, and must be shielded from freezing temperatures during the winter months. During the summertime, however, it will send up displays of bright orange blooms, which are known to attract hummingbirds.

All plants are shipped bare-root with the exception of House Plants and Plant Club Subscription Boxes. House plants and succulents will ship from separate locations and may arrive at different times. Orders ship Monday-Friday each week. Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed. We ship within the USA and its outlying territories ONLY. Read our full policy here.

Plant sizing is based on the diameter of the nursery pot (2", 2.5", 3", 4" etc), not the plant itself. Plants may be slightly larger or smaller than the pot they are grow in depending on availability or time of year. While we do our best to ship plants as similar to those pictured as possible, please keep in mind that all plants are unique from one to the next, and display color, shape, and growth variation based on current environment, time of year, and other contributing factors. Please note that we ship our plants as dry as possible in the fall and winter months to prevent root rot or freezing. They will plump back up after planting!
